Vintage Modern



I've been looking for vintage modern pieces for my new home and stopped at Daniel Donnelly's site. I'm always impressed with the quality of the things they carry and you can find gems there for a good value. These are a few of the things that caught my eye today. Note, The top chair is not a Wegner but a 1960's copy, thus the price.

Cassina's Auckland 227

The Auckland 227, sounds like a flight number and looks modern like a 1950's TWA lounge chair. This is a very versatile chair. The Many Moods Of Modern









Modern is not just one thing. When it comes to interior design there are many moods of modern. These living room interiors from Living Etc. are an inspiring example of the ways in which people make modern their own.

I've always been pulled toward vessels in art. Thee container and the contained have a very psychoanalytic meaning that goes beyond the image itself. These are block prints by Denise Duplock done in a mid-century modern style, and I think you will find them more affordable than most art.
