iPod Island Hub

In contrast with the popular trend toward minimalist high-tech gadgets, a feature exemplified by Apple, this iPod-Island Hub is spacially demanding. The face of the hub features the quote, "The music was new black polished chrome and it came over the summer like liquid night," from Turkish Bazaar, a song by Emmanuel Tops, that loops on the accompanying iPod. This one-of-a-kind piece includes one Apple iPod Nano and a JBL sound station with remote control. It goes on the auction block at Wright in Chicago on March 30, 2008. Designed by Ingo Strobel and Katja Hiendmayer

Brian Neidermayer

Brian Neidermayer is, without a doubt, one of my most admired metal smiths. His work is so unique in theme, combining natural elements with modern forms and elegant shapes. His use of gold accents and brushed silver finishes is a stunning combination. Having worn several of Brian's pieces, I love the weight of them. He does not skimp on his metal, giving his jewelry such a solid presence. With each link, bubble and spike hand formed with great care, I hope one day to achieve such mastery. His work is available through Four Winds Gallery.

Basequadra Vase

Elegant and very stylish. Basequadra is a combination of Murano blown glass and distressed metal fused together in a signature De Lucchi design. The choice of materials and plain lines used for this lovely piece very much resemble those used in his light designs and make Basequadra a treasured piece. Available in either transparent green or dark grey glass and truly gorgeous in both versions
