Photographing My House

Today was the day the realtor came, and we signed the contract to list our house. With a BFA and a background in photography, I wanted to photograph the house myself. I'm fairly happy with the results, at least they are better than what I usually see posted with houses for sale. Would you come look at this house?

Susan,

Absolutely. Very interesting looking and appealing. Love the simplicity. And for some reason one of my favorite "things" is the stainless panels in the kitchen.

Stainless Panels... Thank you so much for noticing. It took me months to find an easy install I could do myself, that wouldn't look fussy and cost a mint. IKEA. I think the entire back splach cost $90 and I had a panel left over because I had no mistake cuts.

Thanks Carrie. With this market we may need the luck.

No, sorry, I wouldn't. There are no exterior shots and most of the rooms look narrow. Rotate your camera 90 degrees and use your wide angle lens.

Macataker,
Well, lucky for me you were not in my area at the time I was selling. These were only a few of the images that went on the realtors sight and I picked these to share on the blog as detail shots. I'll have you know the house sold in 5 days. Not bad for a poor market. So I guess they did a pretty good job.

PS. I find it very misleading when you see ultra wide angle photos that mislead the viewer as to the size of a space and then you get there and see how small it is.
