The Paintings of Edda Jakab

Though abstract, the soft blue forms found all through Jakab's work suggest a soothing, calming element. Water, her all-powerful symbol of life and energy, remains an important focus throughout the oil on canvas work. Edda passed away in the spring of 2007. The remainder of her work is being signed by her husband. She will be missed.
