I am sorry to say that I will be take a small leave of absence from my blogging. I love Design Minds so much, sharing finds and things I adore, but I need to get some things in order; focus on setting up my jewelry studio since I moved and start producing more work. Frankly, I need to start making more money. I am giving myself till December 1st, then I will hit the ground running. I hope you won't desert me, please come back then. I'll be fresh and ready to go. Until then take care and wish me luck.
Best Wishes, Susan

Pre Fabulous

Go modular with this expandable design. One room or a home. The MD 280 features a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, a living room and a bath. Ambient light is plentiful thanks to 9' floor-to-ceiling glass. The entire home fits on a single semi truck trailer and is very easy to transport and assemble. Fabulous.

Park Planters
Drawing inspiration from the bonsai, park planters were created to elevate the common household plant to the status of full grown tree. The potted plant becomes the backdrop for an urban park scene. Ranging from dog walkers to flashers and muggers, no two scenes are alike ensuring the autonomy of each piece.

These are just a few of Meabh Warburton's weavings and felt collages. Her focus is on abstraction that uses simple forms and color to express a larger truth. They're wonderful.

Viewer's Interior Design

I want to give a big hand to Joel at Blue Ant Studio for sharing his home with us. The modern architecture of this house is filled with classic mid-century design and every attention to detail has been taken into consideration, from the cool light fixture on the stairs to the modern landscape design outside the home. The main dining area has a wonderful combination of red Eames plywood chairs and Bertoia wire chairs. In the living room small details like the white vases on the Noguchi coffee table are highlighted by the white of the orchids on the Saarinen side tables. The overall effect is fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing you fabulous design sensibility.

Until You Start Sending Me Your Interior Photos...
Well, until I start getting interior design photos from our viewers, I'm left with no other option but to share this with you.....

From Domino's Sweepstakes, interiors from their readers. Does this mean Domino readers are better at interior design than Design Mind viewers? I hope not.
