Out Of Town

Sorry folks. I was out of town and had not internet access. And all when Design Milk was kind enough to lead viewers my way. So here's a little one for today with much more for tomorrow. This is jewelry from ZN. As some of you know I love enamel, and when Grace sold on Etsy I bought one of her flower necklaces. I get so many compliments on it. Antropomorfo Chairs

Antropomorfo Chairs is a series of chairs combining forms inspired from children's drawings obviously out of proportions, with materials, colours and details typical from the Scandinavian tradition. Oak, beech and walnut are combined with various joints inspired from classic wood furniture. The big upholstered backs of the chairs are covered in natural wool felt. I think They are so oddly interesting.

Well Designed Nature

This may sound odd, but I think this is a great looking plant. Actually it a tree, the money tree is what it's called. It's suppose to bring luck and money, but I think it's just stunning. Not all great design is human made.

Soiree Coffee Table

I was impressed when I saw this coffee table at Target. It's made of wood with a black lacquer finish and a chrome metal base and has a matching side table in the collection. There were quite a lot of other cool option as well. This one is called the Soiree Coffee Table.

Getting Hitched?

I know we're heading into summer but it's still wedding season, and for the last minute bride here's a dress option that's interesting and affordable. It has a wonderful circle pattern in the fabric for a modern touch. It's from J Crew of all places. Check stores for dress.

Modern Vacation Rentals

How about this for a vacation. Gorgeous Central Oregon with a spectacular mountain, pine woods, amazing rivers and lakes and the great town of Bend with shopping, great dinning, galleries and museums all in the area. Not bad. Now add three craftsman cottages of different sizes for your choosing, that have been remodeled with modern interiors in the center of all of this.

To seal the deal, the three bedroom, $250.00/night, the two bedroom, $200.00/night and the one bedroom, $100/night. If you stay more than two nights you get a 25% discount on the other nights. Amazing. Go to Lavabelles for more information and to make reservations, and for more information on Central Oregon visit this travel site to plan the rest of your vacation.

Summer Swim

I'll start by first stating that the women pictured in this post are too thin. It's not attractive and it looks very unhealthy. Second, summer is fast approaching and that means time to think about swimwear. These are some modern and vintage choices for women of smaller sizes, I mean let's be realistic here, a lot of the swim suits come in medium or smaller. But the beach covers, sandals and towel are for all of us women. So enjoy and don't feel that you have to look like this to look good. Shopbob.
